Shalfleet is ideally placed on the Bury Road, a short walk from the Severals and the bottom of Warren Hill, the most popular gallop in Newmarket. The Bury Road is epicentre of Newmarket's training yards: other trainers include Sir Michael Stoute, John Gosden, and Godolphin's Stanley House and Highfield Stables. Charlie Fellowes has just taken over from Luca Cumani, proving that it continues to be to where the finest trainers gravitate.

Once part of Bedford Lodge, from which it was separated from in the 1960's, Shalfleet is now being offered for sale by Jeremy Noseda, who purchased it off Paul Kelleway 1997. The original stables were once an isolation block, for Bedford Lodge, built in 1885 for Captain J.O Machell.

Jeremy Noseda has been extremely successful at the highest level both in the Untied Kingdom, in Europe and in America, with winner in the Breeders Cup and at Royal Ascot.

Standing in a 3.5 acre site, and approached by a driveway shared with Highfield Stables, Shalfleet has a fine house at its core and stable yards arranged for ease of working.

Shalfleet House is built of brick with rendered and half timbered first floor under a tiled roof, has 4 reception rooms, including offices, 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Below the garden room floor is still the indoor swimming pool should it be required.

There is a sheltered garden behind the house, and the opportunity is there to open this up to give a view over grazing with park trees.
