Sheepdrove is high on the Downs, reached from Lambourn itself by a long lane. Well placed for a multitude of equestrian uses, Lambourn is one of the major racehorse training centres in the country, with renowned gallops, vets and equine suppliers. In particular there is extensive riding on the downland tracks, and hunting in the area is with the Vine and Craven. Directions (RG17 7XA) From the Junction 14 of the M4 take A338 towards Wantage and take the first left at the Pheasant on to the B4000. After 3 miles turn right to Lambourn. In the middle of the village go over the cross roads. After about 400 yards turn right in to Sheepdrove Road and go up the hill. Take the left fork and after a quarter of a mile, left again. Keep left, pass the gates to the stables and the entrance to Windy Hollow House is on the right.
